WHO ARE WE ?

 

The AMBLER FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY are a group of area citizens concerned about the continued existence and growth of the local AMBLER BRANCH.

We express this concern through a variety of volunteer activities and financial contributions that result in additional:

  • Planning and funding of popular children and adult programs
  • Purchase of books, periodicals, tapes, videos and reference materials.
  • Purchase of software to enhance the use of library computer facilities.
  • Improvements to physical facilities for utility, comfort and appearance.
We all appreciate that local government funding of library facilities has it's limits.  So, "Library Friends" groups come into existence to provide supplemental funding and activities that extend the resources and usefulness of a local library beyond what they would otherwise be.  They also provide a way to respond to current local desires of library users.  Such groups also permit library members to communicate their needs - in an organized way - to library Staff and Administration Boards.
So, in addition to using your local library (which is very important), give your added support by joining THE AMBLER FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY.
