    Who are Friends

The FRIENDS OF THE WISSAHICKON VALLEY PUBLIC LIBRARY was organized in 1989 for the purpose of establishing a quality library for the community.  The FRIENDS is a group of curious people, families of lifelong learners, readers, writers, researchers and browsers.  The FRIENDS endeavor to support the library staff in all capacities and promote excellence in library services.

What the Friends Do

  • Act as library advocates in the community

  • Maintain an ongoing sale of hardback and paperback books

  • Organize fundraisers

  • Meet on the third Wednesday evening of each month
