The Philadelphia Museum of Art presents The American Collection. The history of the United States is brought to life through the Museum’s American collections, which survey three centuries of paintings, furniture, sculpture, and decorative arts with a special emphasis on Philadelphia’s rich traditions. The collections include important portraits, landscapes, and figure paintings by eighteenth and nineteenth-century masters, including the country’s finest group of work by Philadelphia’s Thomas Eakins.
This special program will be held at The Lower Gwynedd Township building, 1130 N. Bethlehem Pike in Spring House, just north of the Spring House Tavern, and next to the Wells Fargo bank. Call the library at 215-643-1320 or call the township at 215-646-5302.
