2nd Saturday Family Movie Matinee


The Main Library in Blue Bell will be showing new release, family friendly movies at 1:30pm every second Saturday of the month in the Community Room.

AARP Driving Class

AARP Driving Classes for seniors. At various times, the Library hosts both the Driver Safety Course (8 hours) and the Refresher Course (4 hours). Watch the calendar for specific dates.

Adult Summer Reading Clubs

Ambler Branch

The Adult Summer Reading Program will start June 27, 2013.

Sign up on-line and create a reading log, or register in person at the Ambler Library.

Record books, ebooks or audiobooks that you read or hear.

Moms or Dads can enter once for every 10 books they read to their children.

Ambler Library will have 7 weekly drawings.

Prizes include Ambler Theater tickets, gift certificates from Arpeggio's, Born to Run, Fireside Grill, Rich's Other Place, Valleygreen, and a lap tray with handmade mug with Dunkin Donuts coffee.

Adult Summer Reading Club begins June 27, 2013.
Programs are held Thursdays at 2:00 pm:

  • June 27 - Kick Off Book Craft Event with Anne Power
  • July 4 - Enjoy the Holiday reading great stories (stock up early; the library is closed July 4)
  • July 11 - Battle of the Books: Bring in your favorite titles. Share why you like them. Recommend favorite authors. Compile your own reading list as you listen and discuss authors.
  • July 18 - Writing workshop - Mysteries
  • July 25 - Writing workshop - Romance
  • August 1 - Writing workshop - Memoirs
  • August 8 - Craft with books: jeweled book marks with Jeanette Jahn
  • August 15 - Wrap Up: Party on the Patio (weather permitting) with Laughter for Good Health

Sign up for Adult Summer Reading Club (SRC) and earn chances to win WVPL Tote bags full of books (you pick the books) and gift cards from WaWa and Staples.

Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program

Meets 1st and 3rd Mondays at 1 PM at Ambler Branch.

This group is not a "how-to" class.  Please bring your projects and supplies to work on independently.

Blue Bell Book Discussion Group for Adults

The Blue Bell Book Discussion Groups for Adults meet on two consecutive Thursdays, September through April.
Daytime group meets at 1:30 PM and the Nighttime group at 7 PM. The same book is discussed at both meetings. Please stop by the library and pickup a copy of the book.
