"As recommended by the founder of Socrates Cafe, Christopher Phillips, we operate very informally, like many other Socrates Café discussion groups throughout the country. We are open to anyone who would like to attend, don’t have reservations, dues or memberships. We value diversity in age, gender, race, religion, sexual orientation – and especially diverse points of view. We ask participants to be polite and to respect the rights and values of others; we discourage arguing and proselytizing."
