Join us for a fascinating journey into the painted caves of southern France as we explore the origins of human artistic expression. Why did early humans create art? What inspired them to paint deep inside remote caves? And, thousands of years later, can we truly understand what these remarkable images meant to their creators?
This lecture takes us inside three extraordinary sites: Font-de-Gaume, Lascaux, and Chauvet, where hundreds of stunning images of animals and other figures have survived for tens of thousands of years.
