Read to a Dog (FULL)

 

Read To A Dog is intended for children of reading age/elementary age. The purpose of this program is to allow children the opportunity to practice reading aloud with confidence in a judgement-free space or to simply visit with a therapy dog.

Each child/family will have a total of 15 minutes to read to and visit with a therapy dog. Please have your book(s) picked out and ready to read before the program.

Blast Off with Stars on the Move: A Special Planetarium Experience!  

For Ages 6–12

Get ready to travel through space without ever leaving the library! A giant inflatable planetarium will bring an out-of-this-world astronomy experience to kids who will hear "Stories in the Stars" - constellation tales from Greece, Egypt, Rome, and Native American cultures!

 

Coding with Robots for Kids

Welcome to Coding with Robots for Kids! Join us at the Wissahickon Valley Public Library Ambler Branch for a fun and educational event where kids can learn to code with ozobot robots. This hands-on experience will introduce children to the exciting world of programming in a playful and interactive way. Reading to the Dogs

The Nor’wester Therapy Dogs organization will be providing their friendly dogs who love to listen to children read. The program is education based and geared to children in Kindergarten through Grade 6.

Your child will have the opportunity to read to 4 friendly dogs in our spacious and bright new community room. We'll also have quiet activity centers set up.
