For ages 7-13

Amusing artwork is everywhere: children’s books, greeting cards, posters, comics and t-shirts. Cartoon animation in movies, TV shows, and video games have never been more popular. For kids with a sense of humor and an urge to draw, Mr. David offers a chance to get in on the action.

For ages 9-12

Kids will roll up their sleeves and shape their very own clay masterpieces with guidance from expert instructors. Once the clay creations are complete, we'll add color with paint, then send them off to be fired in a real kiln! After a few weeks, you'll get to pick up your one-of-a-kind glazed artwork at the library.

It is your responsibility to check your email to find out when your child's clay project is ready to be picked up at the library.

For ages 12-14

Through a series of exercises leading to the creation of hand-made books, students use the elements of design to create compelling images in the way that a writer uses letters and words to compose stories and poems. Intentional connections to literacy and communication are driven home as works are presented in individual and/or collaborative books. This process will allow every student a new way to find their voice.
