George Washington at Valley Forge
at Ambler Branch Library
Presented by Historian David Hudiak
While the winter spent at Valley Forge by George Washington and his Continental Army is well known to most Americans, there are little known facts about that encampment which make the story much more fascinating.
This lecture will add those details, highlighting the privations suffered by the Continental soldiers as well as the roles played by Washington, Lafayette and Baron Von Steuben in helping the army to survive that winter and prepare for military victories to come.
